Digital Connectivity

Structured document exchange with your trading partners.

Trading partners do not negotiate. A grocery retailer sends you an EDIFACT ORDERS message in the format its systems produce, expects a CONTRL back, and will chase a despatch advice that does not arrive. FORTE Technologies builds and runs the EDI layer that meets those partners on their terms and hands clean data to your ERP.

We translate between EDIFACT, ANSI X12, TRADACOMS, XML and the flat-file formats that back-office systems still emit, mapping each partner's message set to your internal document structure rather than bending your ERP to fit one customer.

Delivery sits on the Quadrant EDI stack, so mapping, translation, partner profiles and message archiving are product features with a maintained upgrade path, not bespoke scripts one person understands.

Onboarding a partner runs to the same sequence every time: collect their implementation guideline, build and test the map, agree connectivity over a VAN mailbox or a direct link, run certification testing against their test service, then go live with acknowledgements reconciled from day one.

Solution

What We Put In Place

Every inbound and outbound interchange is translated, validated against the partner's message specification and either posted to the ERP or rejected with a reason someone can act on.

Partner onboarding follows a repeatable route — mapping, connectivity, certification testing and go-live — so a new customer or supplier is days of work rather than a project.

Control numbers, envelopes and functional acknowledgements are tracked, so an interchange that was never acknowledged is visible before the partner phones about it.

What We Deliver

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Capabilities

01

Standards and translation

EDIFACT, ANSI X12, TRADACOMS, XML and flat-file translation in both directions, with validation against the partner's message specification.

02

Partner mapping and onboarding

A mapping per partner and message type, connectivity setup, certification testing against the partner's test service, and a controlled go-live.

03

Acknowledgements and control

997 and CONTRL handling, interchange and group envelopes, control-number sequencing and duplicate detection, with unacknowledged interchanges flagged.

04

Document types and connections

Orders, order responses, despatch advices, invoices and inventory reports, exchanged over VAN mailboxes, AS2 or direct partner connections, with the AS2 transport itself run on the managed file transfer platform.

Outcomes

Outcomes that move your business forward.

We measure success by the impact we create. Here's what good looks like when Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is running the way it should.

New trading partners onboarded to a repeatable process

Mapping, connectivity, certification testing and go-live follow the same sequence for every partner.

Every interchange acknowledged and reconciled

Control numbers and functional acknowledgements are tracked, so a missing receipt is visible immediately.

Rejected interchanges corrected and resent to the partner

A message that fails validation is rejected with a reason someone can act on, then corrected and resent.

Audit trail of every message sent, received and acknowledged

Message archiving keeps a full record of every interchange for as long as the contract requires.
