Companies rarely address the issue of change or so-called Change Management, although it is very important to those who want to apply any system in the company, especially ERPsystems.
In general, it is the only ongoing process in the organization.
Effective management takes careful steps to manage change smoothly without violent clashes or reactions that affect work performance.
Often the change faces obstacles – most of them psychological – from the staff so it must be a process of change in a healthy way and deliberate in accordance with a clear strategy and gradual.
The importance of change management in the implementation of the ERP system:
For the successful installation of ERP software, companies needs support from administrative authority in the company and the project manager or implementer must convince the management of the importance of change and the consequent improvement in the performance of work.
While planning to implement the ERP project, you may often have to change the organization of work, the distribution of tasks, or the maintenance of the workflow, powers, etc.
Many of the stalled projects are due to the negligence of the factor of change, and the problem is that many people want to change the program to understand them, not to change to understand it!
Whether it is Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, CRM, Business Central or SAP or Oracle or others, if you will have to make many adjustments to the program in the form of customization this in itself is not appropriate at all, and may be a reason for the failure of the system.
From human perspective; they are resistant to change and are ignorant, therefore proactive companies arrange human resources consultants on change management. They explain the benefits of automating the business and how this will speed up the completion and efficiency of the work.
The change should be made on three main levels:
1. Change at the staff level:
The employees are the key players in the success of the ERP system in the company. I do not think it is appropriate to resort to the dictatorial and oppressive system from the beginning to impose the new policies. The success of your project and the results are based on the inputs and ways employees deal with the program and their acceptance, support.
2. Process-level change:
In the planning process, you will find that a simple change in operations (such as the sales process) will increase the success of the project and will increase the level of productivity and the speed of completion of the work and this in itself is a management objective to increase return on investment which senior management did not expect.
3. Change at the technical level:
To succeed in accomplishing your project, you must take advantage of every technology that the world has reached. Do not hesitate to provide communication solutions, archiving, system integration, and all technologies that are at the level of Hardware & Software.
The company’s commitment to change:
After what you have already described in bringing about change in your company, it is very important to follow and monitor this change. One of the most important goals of change management is to achieve commitment to change.
Finally, if you are sure that you have chosen the ERP program properly, know that the change you will make in your enterprise will inevitably lead you forward.
